Spanish government accused of using child safety as 'pretext' for digital surveillance and censorship
Children in a digital cage under the pretext of protection

A truly dystopian plot has begun to unfold following the summit attended by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, alongside authoritarian leaders from Georgia and Burundi, to discuss protecting citizens and democracy. Sánchez spoke of shielding minors from the dangers of social networks and launched attacks against supposed "techno-oligarchs." However, evidence suggests that behind the "noble" goal of protecting minors hides an agenda involving digital identities, biometric checks for all, and preemptive censorship accompanied by state surveillance. It is obvious to everyone that the real goal is to silence independent media.

Scandals, scandals, and more scandals...

If the digital control law had been implemented in 2018, the corruption scandals surrounding the Socialist government would never have seen the light of day. Koldo García, accused of embezzlement, would still be on the board of the public rail company Renfe. Jose Luis Ábalos, under investigation for various corruption scandals, would still be a minister. Salazar, under investigation for sexual assault, would be an exemplary socialist. Delcy Rodriguez of the Venezuelan dictatorship would be a VIP guest by night. And the No. 2 of the Socialist Party, Santos Cerdán, would still be "Super Santos." For Sánchez, all these cases were "disinformation" and "fake news" from the "extreme right." If he truly cared about the fate of teenagers, he would not condemn them to unemployment and would grant more responsibility to parents based on freedom. Instead, he wants to ban access to social networks because the goal is to silence dissent.

The role of Soros

It is no surprise that his words have found immense support from millionaires like Alex Soros, son of George Soros, or from defenders of censorship and propaganda who see their dream of social engineering and control slipping away. The "discovery" of Bluesky to replace X and establish the "real social majority" shows that the intentions are clear: they treat Bluesky as if it were an NGO. The paradox is that the techno-oligarchs Sánchez cites do not bother him when they serve his own interests. Elon Musk, when aligned with the Democrats, set a global example. Sánchez tried to approach Soros, Gates, Fink, and anyone he could for years. If anyone has used social networks to spread hate, division, and polarization, it has been his government and its leftist partners.

The real purpose

However, it is important to note that his goal is not to limit youth access to communist propaganda, but to prevent them from voting right. When teenagers are no longer useful to them, their favorite social planning tool is activated: the mass legalization of illegal immigrants. Sánchez deliberately misleads the public regarding the legalization of illegal immigrants in a country with the highest unemployment rate in the eurozone, using this tactic as a form of social control rather than economic logic. The goal is the creation of a dependent sub-class, the buying of votes, and the artificial increase of GDP through migration. Besieged by corruption and disastrous management, Sánchez launches another "smoke screen" to silence independent opinions. The reality? His main socialist propaganda plans have failed, TikTok did not help him win elections, and freedom advances. This is what bothers them.

The threats the Leftists see

The far left sees X as a threat, while none of its comments mention TikTok—one is free, the other controlled by a dictatorship. The leftist regime loves social networks and billionaires when they serve the pursuit of control. Every time corruption scandals or infrastructure mismanagement put the Spanish government in the crosshairs, Sánchez creates smoke and applies the basic principles of propaganda to distract attention, choosing a "special enemy" to demonize. A leader unable to win elections presents himself as the voice of the social majority, while in reality, he is held hostage by the minorities that keep him in power. His only goal is power, and for that, he seeks censorship at all costs to silence the majority that does not suit him. Sánchez wants to create a surveillance and censorship state in Spain under the guise of digital "protection." For all the media outlets supporting this attack on freedom of expression, it is worth remembering that the purges come next. Disinformation and polarization may exist in a free society, but the risks become 100% certain when information is controlled by the state.
