AI shock operation: How the United States used artificial intelligence to crush resistance and abduct Nicolas Maduro
The Claude system, developed by the American company Anthropic, constituted the central pillar of analytical support for military structures during the planning of the operation.

Chills are triggered by the news circulating around the world that the United States used the most advanced technology, specifically an artificial intelligence model, to organize, execute, and above all eliminate all resistance in Venezuela, in order to abduct the country’s former president Nicolas Maduro.
So far, several details about the lightning operation have come to light, who assisted, what means were used.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the commercial artificial intelligence model Claude was used in the operation of American military forces for the capture of the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro.
This represents a historic and at the same time terrifying first, where a tool intended for broad civilian use is transformed into a weapon in the hands of intelligence services.

Anthropic and the hidden software of death

The Claude system, developed by the American company Anthropic, served as the central pillar of analytical support for military structures during the planning of the operation.
Anthropic was founded in 2021 by former senior executives of OpenAI, including siblings Dario Amodei and Daniela Amodei, and until now had been presented as a company committed to the safety and ethics of artificial intelligence.

However, sources cited by The Wall Street Journal reveal that Claude played a decisive role in data processing for the preparation of the attack against Nicolas Maduro and his wife in Caracas.

Bombings and classified networks in Caracas

The operation, which took place on 3 January, did not remain confined to simple espionage, but included the bombing of several targets in the capital of Venezuela.
This is the first known case worldwide in which a language model of such scale was directly involved in a classified military operation of the United States.

While many artificial intelligence companies develop solutions for armed forces, most remain limited to non classified networks.
Anthropic, according to American media, is the only company whose tools are accessible on classified networks through third parties.

The dark alliance with Palantir and the Pentagon

The integration of Claude into military operations became possible through Anthropic’s strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies PLTR, a company specializing in large scale data analysis for government purposes.
Anthropic’s tools are now widely used by the Pentagon and other United States federal law enforcement agencies.

Despite the fact that the company’s terms of use prohibit employing Claude for promoting violence or designing weapons, the reality on the battlefield appears far darker.

Donald Trump’s fury and the future of artificial intelligence

Anthropic’s involvement in military operations has triggered tensions even within the American government.
The company’s own concerns regarding how the Claude model is used by the Department of Defense prompted officials from the administration of Donald Trump to consider terminating a contract valued at up to 200 million dollars.

Nevertheless, Anthropic remains the first developer of artificial intelligence models to be used by the Pentagon in classified operations, opening the floodgates for how technology may henceforth be employed in the overthrow of leaders and the execution of military strikes.

The night of the abduction and the secret superweapon

It is recalled that the military operation to capture Nicolas Maduro was carried out on 3 January 2026, resulting in at least 32 Cuban fatalities, civilians and military personnel of the presidential guard, and total losses estimated between 75 and 100 individuals, including Venezuelan soldiers and civilians, leaving behind a shocked city and a state under emergency conditions.

A significant contribution beyond artificial intelligence was made by a secret American weapon deployed with remarkable effectiveness, capable of “disabling” the most advanced air defense systems, turning them into useless shells.

What became known about this weapon came directly from the President of the United States himself.
In an interview with the New York Post, Donald Trump named the weapon for the first time: “discombobulator.”

“I am not allowed to speak about it.
The military forces of Venezuela did not manage to launch a single missile.
They had Russian and Chinese missiles, and none functioned.
We went in, they pressed the buttons, and nothing happened.
They were fully prepared for our attack,” Trump stated during a recent conversation at the White House.

However, no details were provided regarding the operating principle or structure of this “discombobulator.”

The roots of the discombobulator

In American English, the word discombobulator has been recorded since the 1830s.
Initially as a rare form of the verb discombobulate, meaning “to confuse,” “to disorient,” “to unsettle someone.”

In the early 20th century, it appeared in works of science fiction and from there passed into comic books.
Unlike words such as “robot” or “spaceship,” which quickly established themselves in serious science fiction and later in technical terminology, discombobulator carried an inherently humorous character and never transcended the boundaries of satirical narratives.

Later, it also entered electronic games of similar style.
