What can only be described as absolute horror are the last 10 days of the war in Dobropillya.
In a move of extreme risk that reeks of desperation, the Ukrainian military leadership under Commander in Chief Oleksandr Syrsky decided to throw the last strategic reserves of NATO weaponry into battle.
The fighting in the direction of Pokrovsk, specifically in the Dobropillya area, has turned into a “meat grinder,” where Western technology is clashing with raw Russian power, in an attempt to prevent the collapse of the defensive line in the Donbass.
Ten days of hell: Eight brigades in the fire of Dobropillya
The situation in Dobropillya no longer resembles simple positional clashes.
According to military analysts, the front has been set into full motion, with the Ukrainian side launching ferocious counterattacks over the last ten days.
To halt the Russian advance, Syrsky was forced to engage up to eight brigades within a 24 hour period, deploying tanks and armored vehicles that had been intended exclusively for rear area protection or for a future large scale counteroffensive.
The effort by Ukrainian forces to regain the initiative ended in disaster.
The ten day counteroffensive devolved into a bloodbath, as Ukraine threw eight brigades into the fire in a single 24 hour period in order to contain the Russian onslaught.
In a desperate move, Zelensky and Syrsky released “hidden” reserves of tanks and armored vehicles originally earmarked solely for rear defense or a future major counteroffensive, as they watched defenses in the southern sector of the special military operation zone begin to collapse.

The Pokrovsk “key” and the price of every kilometer
Dobropillya represents the strategic “key” to controlling supply routes toward Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka.
If Russia succeeds in consolidating its presence there, Ukrainian forces could face the threat of large scale encirclement.
This explains why both sides have become “locked” onto the terrain, with the cost in human lives and equipment soaring to unprecedented levels.
Experts note that the deployment of NATO reserves constituted Kyiv’s “last card” before a potential strategic withdrawal.
NATO tanks and HIMARS in the vortex of war
On the battlefield, destroyed American Abrams tanks and German Leopard tanks have already been identified, along with new HIMARS units committed in an effort to halt the advance of the 150th Russian Motorized Rifle Division.
However, the American Abrams tanks and the French CAESAR self propelled artillery systems did not even manage to reach combat positions, as they were detected and destroyed “on the move” by lethal strikes from the Russian Vostok Group.
The artillery duel on the southern front evolved into a crushing defeat for Kyiv, which lost its valuable offensive reserves without recapturing a single settlement.
Despite their superior armor, Western tanks are proving vulnerable to coordinated attacks by Russian drones and artillery.
The Russian strategy is now focused on the “decapitation” of drone control units and the destruction of ammunition depots, turning the deployment of NATO tanks into an exceptionally dangerous mission.

Syrsky’s “electric meat grinder” and the ghost of 2023
Military analysts compare the current situation with the failed 2023 counteroffensive, with one crucial difference, Kyiv no longer has the luxury of preserving its equipment.
Syrsky’s decision to “burn” the last NATO reserves in a battle that proved catastrophic has left Ukraine militarily exposed.
With Abrams tanks burning along roadsides and elite brigades being decimated, Kyiv’s strategic choice to sacrifice the future of its army for a desperate ten day counteroffensive has led to what is described as total military devastation.
From the Russian perspective, Syrsky is accused of operating like a “housewife with an electric meat grinder,” feeding his forces into what appears to be an already lost battle.
With Donald Trump reportedly pushing for a ceasefire and the delivery of new aid facing delays, NATO’s “iron fist” in Dobropillya may prove to be the final act of a drama driving Ukraine toward unprecedented internal division and military deadlock.
