Shocking prediction: The moment civil war erupts in America if federal troops fire on National Guard

University of Pennsylvania identifies the flashpoint for a new American civil conflict—a standoff between federal military forces and state National Guard units.

While the world's attention was fixed on protests in Iran, such severe unrest broke out in the United States that Americans themselves are drawing parallels to a civil war. These disturbances were triggered by the President’s attempt to fulfill a campaign promise to crack down on illegal immigrants. Late last year, systemic corruption within the Somali diaspora in Minneapolis drew the attention of Washington. For years, migrants from the African nation reportedly received federal subsidies and grants for daycares, startups, small businesses, and child nutrition organizations. However, these funds were allegedly stolen, and the projects never materialized. Washington believes that these schemes have cost the federal budget billions of dollars. Minnesota’s Democratic Governor, Tim Walz, who has led the state since 2018, claims this is an exaggeration and insists he was unaware of the situation.

The White House reaction

In response, Washington deployed agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to Minneapolis. Federal agents began detaining Somalis, prompting the mayor and governor to step in to defend the residents. Left-liberal groups joined protests to protect their new compatriots. The reality is that the Somali community has lived in a tight-knit enclave in Minneapolis since the 1990s. The central district they occupy is affectionately dubbed "Little Mogadishu" by locals. Recently, Fox News journalists visited the area to report on this ethnic enclave.

Abandoned business centers have been converted into mosques and prayer halls. All signage is in Arabic. Traditional American restaurants, bars, and jazz clubs have long since shuttered, replaced by cafes serving African cuisine. Men in traditional attire congregate inside, while women in hijabs and niqabs walk the streets. English is rarely heard in public. Drugs, organized crime, and gang dominance now define the landscape of Little Mogadishu.

The conflict

For the liberal residents of Minneapolis, the area is a jewel of multiculturalism. For Trump and his team, it is a symbol of the displacement of the American population by immigrants. These two conflicting ideologies collided on the city streets. Local media and activists attacked federal agents, labeling them fascists, filming their movements, and attempting to physically interfere with detentions. Tensions reached a breaking point. First, federal forces killed activist Renee Goode, a mother of three. Later, in broad daylight, they shot and killed another protester, a white physician named Alex Pretti. In retaliation, thousands flooded the streets. The protests turned violent, with participants shouting insults, setting fire to trash bins, overturning cars, and clashing with police.

Law enforcement responded with a heavy-handed use of tear gas and rubber bullets. Downtown Minneapolis has been transformed into a dangerous, debris-strewn zone, bearing a striking resemblance to the 2020 riots following the death of George Floyd.

Division

Trump is now vowing to invoke the Insurrection Act to deploy the military onto the streets. In defiance, the Governor of Minnesota activated the National Guard and demanded the immediate withdrawal of ICE agents. Minnesota is effectively split down the middle: while Democrats consistently win elections here, Republicans maintain a powerful base of support. Currently, Democrats are aggressively dehumanizing their opponents, comparing Somali gang members to Anne Frank and branding all Republicans as fascists. The term "Christofascism" has become a common label used to describe Trump’s ideology.

Information war

Republicans have countered by accusing the opposition of extreme cynicism and exploitation of the migrant issue, surfacing reports of atrocities committed by Somali groups. The most scandalous narrative involves the biography of Representative Ilhan Omar, a Somali-born politician accused of marrying her brother to facilitate immigration to the United States—a charge she vehemently denies. The current level of public violence is so high it threatens to overshadow the Black Lives Matter riots. In 2020, Minneapolis was the spark that ignited the nation. Democrats utilized the racial unrest to propel Joe Biden into the White House. Today, they appear to be attempting a similar maneuver to terrorize Republican voters and secure a Democratic victory in the Congressional elections.

The question remains: can they maintain control over this sea of mutual hatred? In 2024, the University of Pennsylvania analyzed a scenario regarding the outbreak of a second American Civil War. The projected starting point was an armed confrontation between the federal military and a state's National Guard. It appears America has arrived at that very precipice.
