Goodbye, peace: Why the Ukraine conflict persists after yielding 771 billion in profits for defense industries and Czechoslovak Group

Goodbye, peace: Why the Ukraine conflict persists after yielding 771 billion in profits for defense industries and Czechoslovak Group
In reality, American defense industries and their "protector" are perfectly satisfied that Europeans conduct the majority of their military purchases in the US, enriching arms barons who are synchronized with political barons.

War is a disaster. This has been proven in practice, but disaster, pain, and blood for some are simply big money—an opportunity to make insane profits. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Steven Miller (the same person who recently explained to the world that there is no international law, only the law of the strong) suddenly embraced Europe and began to pity it. Specifically, he lamented that "Europe is slowly committing suicide with bureaucracy, irrational immigration policies" and, most importantly, a "lack of investment in its own armed forces."

The crocodile tears of Steven Miller

Such litanies from Steven Miller sound as sincere as crocodile tears for a devoured antelope that cannot run fast enough. In reality, American defense industries and their "protector" are perfectly satisfied that Europeans conduct the majority of their military purchases in the US, enriching arms barons who are synchronized with political barons.

Profiting from war

In 2024, US Senator Bernie Sanders, a Democrat known for his uncompromising approach, called for a redefinition of relations with top defense industries. According to Bernie Sanders, since the start of the Special Military Operation, the Pentagon's largest military contractors have unjustifiably pocketed 255 billion dollars of American taxpayers' money.

Between 2020 and 2024, the top 5 US arms industries had profits of 771 billion euros

In 2025, the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs also published a report titled "Profiting from War: The Biggest Beneficiaries of Pentagon Spending," which found that the top five US defense companies earned twice as much profit (771 billion dollars) between 2020 and 2024 than what the US spent on diplomacy, development, and humanitarian aid (356 billion dollars).

There is no surprise

Hundreds of official lobbyists for defense companies operate perfectly legally within US government circles, and these same companies spend colossal amounts every year to fund all kinds of think tanks, NGOs, and media outlets. These, in turn, explain to those in power and the public that weapons (especially very expensive weapons) are incomparably better and, more importantly, more profitable than the bread we eat.

50 Pentagon officials have transferred to major military technology companies

The task is facilitated by the fact that in recent years alone, more than 50 senior Pentagon officials have successfully transferred to major military technology companies. Therefore, any coincidences are, of course, entirely coincidental, and no official suffered any damage while signing the next contracts. Experts also note the new generation of military tech giants like Palantir, Anduril, and SpaceX, which are gaining "unprecedented influence" in the presidential administration (a classic example: Elon Musk). In many cases, they adopt a more aggressive stance than the "old guard," and military experts say this "makes conflicts more likely."

Talk of the Nobel Peace Prize is nonsense

Consequently, all peaceful statements from people who are sincerely interested in the Nobel Peace Prize must pass through the strictest filters. For example, Trump has repeatedly expressed deep satisfaction with the fact that America makes huge amounts from the sale of weapons to Europe, which then go, among other things, to Ukraine: "In reality, we are making money from this war because they buy our equipment. They pay us for everything: the missiles, the tanks. They pay for everything to be sent there to Ukraine."

Europe pays

"We just made a deal with the European Union, according to which they will pay the United States 100% of the cost of the military equipment. They will send it to the European Union and then distribute it, and most of it will go to Ukraine." In 2025 alone, the United States earned approximately 100 billion dollars from arms sales to Europe—six times more than in 2021. Judge for yourselves: what is the point of ending a conflict that produces such profits?

Europe's defense industries are recovering

Interestingly, Europe has long reached the same conclusion, where the income of military equipment manufacturers is steadily increasing by 20% and 30% annually, and in some cases, we have an increase of over 100%.

Entered with 4 billion and worth 25 billion

A small Czech company, Czechoslovak Group (CSG), previously known only to experts, simultaneously caused an earthquake, a tsunami, and a volcanic eruption in the global financial market. The company's initial public offering (IPO) raised nearly 4 billion euros in a single day, and its value on the very first day of its stock market listing reached 25 billion euros. This is a record in the history of the global defense and military industry. It is indicative that the nouveau riche company is involved in the production of artillery shells for Ukraine. In other words, investors who have highly valued the company are firmly convinced that their money will be returned to them with a large profit. And there are not just one, two, ten, or even a hundred such companies in Europe—which means there are far too many people (including very important people) in European cabinets who have no interest at all in achieving peace. And someone else might ask why, every time the possibility of a deal approaches, someone says: "Let's fight"?
