Russia and Iran strike 'secret arms deal' as US attack looms
Meanwhile, the Greek-American CIA insider reveals that a US attack on Iran is final and imminent

As the escalation between the US and Iran reaches its zenith and the February 24th ultimatums cause global panic, a new development is added to the Iranian crisis. Russia and Iran have signed a secret agreement. Meanwhile, a prominent CIA insider reveals that the US decision to attack Iran is final and will occur very shortly.

Russia and Iran sign secret agreement

Iran has signed a secret agreement with Russia for the supply of man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS), according to a report by the Financial Times (FT), citing Russian documents and several sources familiar with the deal. According to the report, the agreement is valued at 500 million euros. It was concluded between Russia's state arms export agency, Rosoboronexport, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense, and the logistics providers of the Iranian Armed Forces (MODAFL).

Russians to provide 2,500 missiles

The agreement, signed in Moscow in December 2025, obligates Russia to supply 500 Verba portable launchers and 2,500 9M336 missiles over a period of three years. Deliveries are scheduled in three stages, spanning from 2027 to 2029.

Iran does not want Russian soldiers

In late January 2026, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, Alexey Zhuravlev, stated that the Russia-Iran strategic partnership agreement does not contain a clause for direct military assistance; therefore, Moscow is not sending troops to defend Iran from the United States. Naturally, Iran is a strategic ally of Russia, but notably, when the documents were signed, it was the Iranian side that insisted on excluding direct military aid. After all, Russia was already conducting strategic military operations at that time. "That is why we do not intervene, at least not publicly, by sending our troops to defend it. And international law does not prohibit us from doing anything else," Alexey Zhuravlev emphasized.

The US has attacked Iran at least three times

According to Alexey Zhuravlev, the US has attacked Iran at least three times in recent years, and this has weakened neither the dollar nor oil prices—the conflicts could be considered local, with no impact on the global market. Iran produces a significant amount of electricity, but consumes almost all of it domestically, the lawmaker noted.

The CIA insider speaks: The US will strike Iran very shortly

The newspaper Bild notes that the US may launch a military attack on Iran on February 23 or 24, 2026. According to former CIA agent and whistleblower John Kiriakou, the US government has decided on a military strike against Iran. John Kiriakou noted that within the presidential administration, Secretary of State Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, among others, support an attack. Vice President J.D. Vance and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard reportedly argued against the strike.

US considers assassinations of top Iranian officials

The US is considering the possibility of assassinating top officials as part of an attack on Iran. However, it has not been revealed exactly who might be targeted or how the US military could attempt regime change without the use of large ground forces. When discussing the assassination of top officials, it implies that the US is evolving into a terrorist state.
